We have a large apartment in the center of Madrid about a 5 minute walk from the Plaza Mayor. It is located on Calle Dos Hermanas, between Meson de Parades and Embajadores streets, just off the Plaza Cascorro. The apartment, on the first floor with windows to the street, has been completely renovated. The place is like new, and very attractive.
There are six rooms in the apartment, with two complete baths: one with the hydromassage panel and the other with a large oval bathtub. The open kitchen and living area is more than 23 square meters, with a complete entertainment center (TV, radio, audio tape, CD, DVD, VideoTape, etc). There are TV and phone connections in each bedroom, each of which has a lockable door. Double thermal windows are in each room, with roll-down insulated shutters. Each room is fully furnished, with all furniture, closets, ceiling fan and all bed covers.
Fixed phone calls to all of Spain are included in the rent, as are all utilities: water, gas, electricity, garbage, community costs, etc. An ADSL line is included for Internet access at no additional cost.
Renters, mostly young professionals in Madrid for 6-12 months, have the access and use of a green patio (about 8 square meters) with a door off the living area. The kitchen has all plates, glasses, silverware, pots and pans, etc. necessary for cooking and eating. There is an electric BBQ grill, a microwave with grill, a gas stove with 3 burners, an extractor, an 8 kg. clothes washer with both hot and cold water connections, a gas clothes dryer, 2 sinks, a large fridge, and ample storage and counter space. The dining table opens to 2.4 meters with 6 chairs. We furnish all towels, plus kitchen and bathroom paper, plus hand, clothes and dish soap.
Prices per month range from 435 Euros to 485 Euros per person in single occupancy rooms, or less in a double occupancy room. Because of the nature of the room rental contracts, we charge 30 Euros for overnight visitors. We ask for 2 months rent security deposit, and make firm reservations upon receipt of the deposit.
