The 2009 Yamaha YZFR1 features a new combination of chassis and engine upgrades which have been inspired from the MotoGP race bikes. The R1 chassis has been fitted with a new Deltabox frame which is tuned for optimum lateral and torsional rigidity with a longer swingarm for extra traction.
