Selmer Balanced Action Tenor
Made in 1935, France
Introducing the Selmer Balanced Action Tenor Saxophone, one of the best vintage tenor model saxes ever made.
This tenor was called the Sunburst BA because the engraving consisted of sword-like patterns on the bell emulating rays of light. Usually bursting out of a engraved judicial scale. Uniquely, instead of a scale, it is an engraved house with added flare of musical notes, a flat and sharp symbol.
This instrument was extremely well cared for. The horn had been refinished by the Selmer factory about 45 years ago. The lacquer is still 98% remaining. The engraving still very sharp. The body and neck are in top condition. No dents.
